RHODE ISLAND CAREER AND TECHNICAL EDUCATION IS IN THE SPOTLIGHT AS 35 STUDENTS FINISH IN THE TOP TEN AT THE SkillsUSA NATIONAL LEADERSHIP AND SKILLS CONFERENCE

82 Rhode Island career and technical students participated in the SkillsUSA Championships held on Thursday, June 26th. More than 6,000 students competed in 99 occupational and leadership skill competition areas. SkillsUSA programs help to establish industry standards for job skill training in the classroom. These industry driven competitive events are modeled after the Olympics where the top three individual/teams receive gold, silver, and bronze medals.
